Live OCD Free

Description:

Live OCD Free is an iPhone mobile application designed to help with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, based on a model of 'Exposure & Response Prevention'. There are two versions of the program - one for adults, and another suitable for children. The application aims to provide both a self-help tool and can also be used as an adjunct to therapy with a professional. Firstly, you identify all of the anxiety provoking people, places, activities, situations and objects - as well as all your compulsions/rituals that help you to diminish your fear or anxiety. You are also asked to rate your anxiety associated which each of your 'exposures'. Based on this information, the program creates a personalised 'Exposure Hierarchy' (or 'Worry Wizard Challenge Chart' for kids) - and also sets up a personalised toolbox of helpful strategies to assist you. You can set goals and the program instructs you where to begin and when to move on to more anxiety provoking exposures. The accompanying website provides information about the application as well as tutorial videos and includes an abbreviated version of the user's guide for the application.
