Sleep Cycle alarm clock

Description:

Sleep Cycle is a bio-alarm clock that wakes you up while you are in your lightest stage of sleep. It is based on the assumption that if you awaken from a light sleep you will feel more alert and less tired throughout the day. You place your mobile phone under your pillow at night and the app uses an accelerometer to monitor your movements while you sleep. Over the course of the night you move through different phases of sleep and by monitoring your movements the app can determine if you are in a deep sleep or light sleep. Before going to bed you set your alarm time using the app, and it will wake you up when you are in your lightest phase of sleep (within a 30 minute window of your set time).
