Description:

Whiz Kid Games is an online games portal for autistic children. The site was created by more 80 students, 8 lecturers and 10 autism specialists, and the project represents more than 16,000 hours of research and development. The games are a free resource that aim to help autistic children develop independent living skills. There are 16 games covering 8 topics of Coping With Change; Transactions; Matching Emotions; Nonverbal Gestures; Grouping Objects; Schedules; Finding a Route; & Making Eye Contact. Children can play the games in any order they choose. Information for parents and teachers of children with autism on the objectives of the games is available at www.autismgames.com.au. This Autism Games site also has a feedback forum, where parents and teachers can provide feedback about the games.
