Description:

The Israeli Association for Emotional First Aid (ERAN) provides a volunteer based suicide prevention service, which includes an online support group, personal online chat, and e-mail support. Support is also available by telephone. You can contact ERAN regarding any sort of emotional issue; e.g. relationship problems with friends or family members, problems at school or in the workplace, emotional distress, sexuality, etc. The personal chat function enables you to receive individual online help in real time and is available from Sunday to Thursday between 4pm and midnight and 6pm and midnight on Saturday. The moderated online support group is available every night from 6pm to midnight (NB: all times are local time in Israel). Email support is also available; emails are responded to within two working days. Support is provided by paraprofessionals who have received special training for their role as crisis interveners.
