I-InTERACT (Internet-based Interacting Together Everyday: Recovery After Childhood TBI

Description:

The I-InTERACT website is composed of 10 "core" sessions that contain training in positive parenting skills, appropriate use of commands and time-out, and educational information about the behavioural and cognitive consequences of pediatric TBI.  The site also contains 5 supplemental sessions based on the needs and interests of individual families.  Each session contains audio clips of parents describing how TBI has affected their child, content related to skills and practice exercises, and video clips of parents demonstrating target skills.  After the completion of each session, parents meet with a therapist via teleconference to review website material, practice skills and receive coaching.  Each week parents independently access 1 websession (authored and designed by professionals) followed by a videoconference with a trained therapist.
