My Skin Check is an educational website providing information about skin cancer, its risk factors, and instructions for self examination of moles. The site includes a comprehensive FAQ section covering topics such as UV radiation and sun protection; choosing sun protection methods; and children and sun exposure. You can browse through the site in any order you wish. Free online mole checks were offered through the site in June 2010, but this service is not currently available.

Outcome Summary:

The outcomes of an earlier trial (in 2008) of online diagnosis of malignant skin lesions has been examined in one study. Eight malignant lesions were diagnosed through the site. There is no research evidence currently available on the efficacy of the educational components of the site.
