MyMigraine

Description:

MyMigraine is a course for migraine self management. The course aims to provide you with more insight into your migraines and teaches you skills to prevent an attack or mitigate the effects of attacks. It consists of an introductory session providing a preview of the course, six lessons and a final summary session. In lessons 1 to 3 you examine your risk of migraine attacks and make a personal risk plan. You also learn relaxation techniques. Lessons 4 to 6 focus on applying techniques in your everyday life including relaxing, working on your posture, lifestyle aspects (exercise, nutrition, stimulants, activities), your thinking, and ways to deal with the pain during a migraine attack. In the summary session you receive your own self-management plan. Each lesson takes about one hour, plus there are additional homework exercises each week. The homework exercises are an essential part of the course and need to be completed prior to the following lesson. MyMigraine takes at least 7 weeks to complete.
