Livanda provides a self-help CBT program for depression. Each section contains information about depression and the interventions that are used to treat it effectively. The program also provides the user with the opportunity to report depression symptoms and have them tracked through the program. The website aims to assist you to understand depression and its causes, and to understand how particular thoughts and behaviours affect mood. The site encourages the user to change behaviour by planning positive activities and reducing avoidance of difficult situations or issues, identifying negative thoughts and learning to accept and change them, building self-esteem. The site provides skills-training in enhancing awareness through mindfulness techniques. The program also contains a focus on maintaining these benefits by encouraging users to continue skills and to identify signs of relapse. At an extra fee you can sign up to the ‘query service’ which allows you to send questions to trained psychologists.
