- Outcome Summary:
Hicks et al 2006 found that the 7 week program significantly improved self rated pain scores in a community sample suffering mild-moderate pain (n=47) compared to a waitlist control group. At 1 month post treatment, 71% of those in the treatment group had achieved a clinically significant reduction in pain scores compared to 19% in the control group. 72% had achieved a reduction at 3 months compared with 14% for the control group. There were no differences in the quality of life scores.
